After his year-long stay in Elmore Jimmy wrote a letter to his friend Billy in Little Rock that he wanted to meet him at Sullivan's place on the next Wednesday night. He wrote that he wanted to give him his set of safe-cracking tools for he had given up his old profession and started living honestly. He also informed his friend that he would marry the finest girl on earth shortly. He added that he did not want to touch other people's money in his whole life.
