       Ans:  Jimmy Valentine and Ralph D. Spencer are the two names of the same person at different phases of life. Both are smart, handsome and intelligent. Both have friends. But they differ considerably in profession, financial condition, social status and mental disposition. Jimmy Valentine is a notorious burglar, but Ralph D. Spencer is a successful businessman. Jimmy is a criminal whom Ben Price wants to arrest. On the other hand Ralph D. Spencer deserves Ben Price’s mercy and admiration because of his nobility. Jimmy Valentine uses the tools for burglary, but Ralph D. Spencer uses the same tools to rescue the little girl from vault. In fact, love makes Jimmy an honest man.
