1. Who was Leela? [লীলা কে?]

Ans. Leela was the five-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sivasanker.[লীলা হল শিবশংকর বাবু এবং তাঁর স্ত্রীর 5 বছরের কন্যা।]

2. Who was Mr Sivasanker?[মিস্টার শিব শঙ্কর কে?]

Ans. Mr. Sivasanker was the father of the five-year-old little girl Leela.[শিব শংকর বাবু হলেন ৫ বছর বয়সের ছোট্ট মেয়ে লীলার পিতা।]

3. What kind of job did Sidda do in the Sivasanker's household?[শিব শংকর বাবুর সংসারে সিদ্দা কী ধরনের কাজ করতো?]

Ans. Siddha washed clothes, tended the garden, ran errands, chopped wood and  looked after Leela at Mr. Sivasanker's house.[শিব শংকর বাবুর বাড়িতে সিদ্ধা কাপড় কাচতে, বাগান পরিচর্যা করত, ফাইফরমাশ খাটত, কাঠ কাটত আর লীলার দেখাশোনা করত।]

Ans. Leela's mother finally found the gold chain from the tamarind pot in the kitchen. [লীলার মা শেষ পর্যন্ত রান্নাঘরে তেঁতুলের পাত্র থেকে সোনার হারটি খুঁজে পেলেন।]

Ans. Leela appealed to the policemen to leave Sidda so that she could play with him.[লীলা সিদ্দাকে ছেড়ে দেওয়ার জন্য পুলিশের কাছে আবেদন জানাল যাতে সে তার সঙ্গে খেলতে পারে।]

Ans. Mr Sivasanker went to the police station to lodge a complaint against Sidda.[শিব শংকর বাবু সিদ্দার বিরুদ্ধে অভিযোগ দায়ের করার জন্য থানায় গিয়েছিলেন।]

15. Why did Sidda vanish from Leela's house?[সিদ্দা লীলাদের বাড়ি থেকে অদৃশ্য হয়ে গিয়েছিল কেন?]

Ans. Sidda had vanished because he was suspected of stealing Leela's gold chain.[সিদ্দা অদৃশ্য হয়ে গিয়েছিল কারণ তাকে লীলার সোনার হার চুরি করার ব্যাপারে সন্দেহ করা হয়েছিল।]

Ans. At Mr. Sivasanker's house Sidda was given two meals a day and gour rupees a month for his work.[শিব শংকর বাবুর বাড়িতে কাজ করার জন্য সিদ্দাকে  দিনে দুবেলা খাওয়া দেওয়া হত ও মাসে চার টাকা মাইনে দেয়া হতো।]

18. How was Leela's knowledge of education? [লীলার শিক্ষার জ্ঞান কেমন ছিল?]

Ans. Leela knew two or three letters of the alphabet and could draw a kind of a cat and crow in a way.[লীলা বর্ণমালার দু-তিনটি অক্ষর শিখেছিল আর কোনমতে বিড়াল ও কাক আঁকতে পারত।]
