Answer:

       Sidda is the speaker here.

      According to Sidda, the little bit of moon is sticking to the red ball with which he is playing with Leela.

      Leela got pleasure playing with Sidda. She flung the red ball at him and he flung it back to her. She asked Sidda to throw the ball into the sky and he did so. When the ball came down he claimed that the ball had touched the moon and a little bit of moon was  still sticking to it. But Leela could not see it. Sidda suggested that she must be very quick or the traces of the moon would evaporate and go back to the moon. Then he held the ball tightly and allowed Leela to see it through a gap in his finger. At that time Leela could see a wet mark on the ball. 

     Sidda claimed that he knew the moon well and he climbed the coconut tree to touch it. Standing near the rose plant and the well, Sidda pointed to the sky and showed Leela the moon. Leela believed it and was extremely delighted.
