Question:  " ----then a girl got in."

(i)  At which station did the girl get in ? (ii) Who were present at the station to see the girl off?

(i) কোন স্টেশনে মেয়েটি  উঠেছিল?

(ii) মেয়েটিকে বিদায় জানাতে কারা স্টেশনে উপস্থিত হয়েছিলেন ?

 iii) মেয়েটির স্বাচ্ছন্দ্যের জন্য তাদের নির্দেশাবলী কি ছিল?

Ans.

        (i)  The girl got in the train at Rohana station.

        (ii)  A couple, probably the parents of the girl, were present at the station to see the girl off.

    (iii) According to the narrator, the parents of the girl seemed very anxious about their daughter's safe journey. Because, the girl would travel alone. So, they, especially the mother instructed her as to where to keep her things. She advised her not to lean out of the windows. She also advised her how to avoid speaking to unknown passengers at the time of journey.

বঙ্গানুবাদ:

             (i) মেয়েটি রোহানা স্টেশনে  ট্রেনে উঠেছিল।

   

     (ii) একটি দম্পতি,সম্ভবত মেয়েটির বাবা-মা মেয়েটিকে বিদায় জানাতে স্টেশনটিতে উপস্থিত হয়েছিলেন।

        (iii) গল্পকারের মতে, মেয়েটির বাবা-মা তাদের মেয়েদের নিরাপদ যাত্রা সম্পর্কে উদ্বিগ্ন ছিলেন। কারণ, মেয়ে একা ভ্রমণ করবে। তাই, তারা, বিশেষতঃ মা তাকে নির্দেশ দিয়েছিলেন কোথায় তার জিনিসপত্র রাখতে হবে।  তিনি তাকে উপদেশ দিয়েছিলেন কখনো সে জানালা দিয়ে বাইরে ঝুঁকবে না। তিনি তাকে উপদেশ দিয়েছিলেন যে যাত্রার সময় অজানা যাত্রীদের সাথে কথা বলা থেকে বিরত থাকবেন কিভাবে।
