Substance of Asleep in the Valley (Class 12, wbchse)

 Give the substance of the poem “Asleep in the Valley”.

[A slow stream flows through a small valley.  The whole valley is flooded with the sunlight.  A young soldier is lying there with his  mouth wide open. He keeps his head on a pillow made of fern. he lies stretching his body in the heavy undergrowth of the valley.  His legs are among the flowers.  He looks pale, and seems to be smiling like an innocent child.  The humming insects do not disturb his sleep at all. The soldier is sleeping peacefully keeping his one hand on his breast.  But there are two red holes on his body. The holes are the bullet wounds.  The wounds indicate that the soldier is dead.  ]

বঙ্গানুবাদ

[ একটি ছােট্ট নদী একটি ছােটো উপত্যকার মধ্য দিয়ে প্রবাহিত হয়ে চলেছে । পুরাে উপত্যকাটি সূর্যের আলােয় প্লাবিত । একটি যুবক সৈনিক সেখানে মুখ খােলা অবস্থায় শুয়ে আছে । সে ফার্নের বালিশে তার মাথা রেখেছে । সে উপত্যকার ঘন ঝোপে টানটান হয়ে শুয়ে রয়েছে। তার পা - দুটি রয়েছে ফুলের মধ্যে । তাকে বিবর্ণ দেখাচ্ছে , আর মনে হয় যেন নিস্পাপ শিশুর মতাে হাসছে । গুনগুনকারী পতঙ্গেরা তার ঘুমের ব্যাঘাত করে না। সৈনিকটি তার বুকের উপর একটি হাত রেখে শান্তিতে ঘুমােচ্ছে । কিন্তু তার শরীরে রয়েছে দুটি লাল গর্ত । গর্ত দুটি বুলেটের ক্ষত । দুটি ক্ষত থেকে বােঝা যায় যে সৈনিকটি মৃত । ]
