The poet is crossing the Westminster Bridge very early in the morning. The sun has risen and all man-made things are shining and dazzling in the radiance of the rising sun because the air is still free from the smoke coming out of the house and work-places. The poet feels that such beautiful sunrise can never be seen in natural surroundings like hills, rocks or valleys.
The calmness that surrounds the city of London in the morning is very deep.
This calmness is very deep because such a peaceful situation is not expected in a crowded city, as it is expected in an uninhabited natural environment. This is why the poet thinks that this calmness is very deep and clear. The calmness of an usually noisy place can be felt more profoundly than that of usually quiet place.

( কবি খুব সকালে ওয়েস্টমিনস্টার সেতু অতিক্রম করছেন। সূর্য উঠেছে এবং উদিত সূর্যের দ্যুতিতে মনুষ্যসৃষ্ট সব জিনিসগুলি উজ্জ্বল এবং ঝলমলে দেখাচ্ছে কারণ তখনও বাতাস বাড়ি এবং কর্মস্থল থেকে বেরিয়ে আসা ধোঁয়ার থেকে মুক্ত। কবি অনুভব করছেন এমন সুন্দর সূর্যোদয় প্রাকৃতিক পরিবেশে, যেমন— উপত্যকা, শিলাক্ষেত্র বা পাহাড়ে কখনও প্রত্যক্ষ করা যায়নি।
যে শান্তিময় অবস্থা লন্ডন শহর সকালবেলায় বেষ্টন রয়েছে সেটি খুব গভীর।
এই শান্তি খুব গভীর কারণ এমন শান্তিময় অবস্থা বড়াে ঘিঞ্জি শহরে মােটেই প্রত্যাশিত নয়, যেমন অনাহত প্রাকৃতিক পরিবেশে প্রত্যাশা করা হয়। এই কারণেই কবি মনে করেছেন এই শান্তি অতি - গভীর এবং স্পষ্ট। স্বভাবত কোলাহলপূর্ণ স্থানের নিস্তব্দতা স্বভাবত শান্ত স্থানগুলির থেকে অনেক গভীরভাবে উপলব্ধি করা যায়। )
