A question and Answer of The Solitary Reaper

How did Wordsworth react to the song of the Solitary Reaper?

 Or,

What were the poet's reactions to the song of the reaper girl?

Ans:

The song of the solitary reaper moved Wordsworth.  He thought that his song was sweeter than the song of the nightingale bird to the weary travelers in the Arabian oasis, or more thrilling than the song of the cuckoo in the spring to the inhabitants of the Hebrides.  The poet could not understand the meaning of her song.  But he guessed that the solitary reaper might be singing about some old unhappy events or some battles of the distant past or some sorrowful matters of everyday life like some natural sorrows, loss or pain that has happened and may happen again.

The song charmed the poet. He carried it in his memory long afterwards.
